Harkin warns on divisive Brexit language

The Independent MEP Marian Harkin is warning people against using strong, emotive language when they’re talking about Brexit.

Her warnings follow recent comments made by the British Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt. During an address to the Tory conference last week, he likened the EU to the Soviet Union.

Marian Harkin says such divisive language just drives people into corners.
