It comes as the European Commission prepares to unveil a major strategy on regulating online platforms.

 

The Parliament backed calls for better protection for consumers and allowing users have more control over what they see.

EU looks at banning targeted ads

Targeted ads could become a thing of the past after MEPs backed calls for tighter online regulations.

 

Their stance will feed into the Digital Services Act, which is due to be unveiled by the European Commission before Christmas.

Kelleher hits out at ‘unseemly’ behaviour of some Ministers

The Fianna Fáil MEP Billy Kelleher has criticised comments made by senior members of Government in recent weeks on COVID-19 restrictions.
