The European Parliament today voted for better governance at FIFA. MEPs overwhelmingly passed a resolution calling for a ‘zero-tolerance policy on corruption in football’. The MEPs welcomed the resignation of the former FIFA president Sett Blatter. And they called on the Federation to appoint an interim president to replace him. The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly, who’s a former president of the GAA, says a range of changes needs to be made at the very top levels of FIFA.
