MEPs in the European Parliament will this evening debate the priorities for the EU’s 2017 budget. A draft resolution due to be voted on this week calls for continued funding to tackle the on-going refugee crisis as well as for increased investment to speed up economic recovery. However, the Sinn Fein MEP Liadh Ni Riada, who sits on the EU Parliament’s Budgetary committee, is warning the EU does not have enough money to deal with its current problems.

In 2012, new scientific findings indicated that some insecticides belonging to group of neonicotinoids were harmful to bees.
