MEP Marian Harkin has described the approach to Brexit in the British House of Commons as chaotic.

Ireland South MEP Liadh Ni Riada says any new allocation of seats to Ireland at the European Parliament should be allocated to the north.
MEPs are voting on proposals today which would result in Ireland gaining two seats after Brexit, however Northern Ireland would lose three seats.

A Sinn Fein MEP believes the 2 additional European Parliament seats Ireland will gain after Brexit, should be allocated to the North.
The European Parliament is today voting on proposals on re-distributing the number of seats after the UK leaves the European Union.
Overall the number of MEPs is being cut from 751 to 705.
46 of the 73 UK seats will be put in a reserve while the other 27 are being redistributed to 14 countries under-represented at present.

The European Parliament will today vote on the new distribution of seats in the wake of Brexit.
Ireland will gain two seats in the shake up, however Northern Ireland will lose its representation at the Parliament.
