Interview with Sean Kelly on the planned multi-billion EU funding programme called InvestEU which will be rolled out from 2021 to 2027.
The European Parliament this week approved its position on the InvestEU programme to support investment and access to finance from 2021 to 2027.
The fund follows and replaces the current European Fund for Strategic Investments (EFSI) programme which was set up after the financial crisis.
In the interview, Sean Kelly explains more about the programme and what type of projects and businesses in Ireland could potentially benefit from it.

An extension of Article fifty could cause chaos for the European elections in May. That’s according to the Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan.
The UK is supposed to leave the EU on the twenty ninth of March. However Theresa May’s failure to get her Withdrawal Deal approved by British MPs puts that deadline in doubt.
The British PM may need more time to secure an acceptable deal. However Lynn Boylan says prolonging the UK’s exit could cause even greater chaos.

Britain is set to leave on March the twenty ninth. However, the House of Commons’ rejection of Theresa May’s Withdrawal Agreement means she’ll struggle to get approval for an acceptable deal by that deadline.
The Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan says the UK will have to be very clear about what agreement they want in order to secure approval from the EU27 for an Article fifty extension.
