West of Ireland farmers win in new CAP - MacManus

Small-scale farmers will earn more under the new Common Agricultural Policy – that’s according to Sinn Fein MEP, Chris MacManus. The European Parliament has voted through the new CAP after months of negotiations. Under the new rules, there will be a limit on the subsidies the big farms can receive. And small farms will benefit from a “redistribution payment”. Midlands North-West MEP, Chris MacManus says it is a step in the right direction.
