A survivor of the 1981 Stardust fire recalled how she and her sisters were trapped in the nightclub’s flames when she visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg today.
Antoinette Keegan lost two of her sisters in the fire when they attended a disco there on Valentine’s day in 1981.
Ms Keegan is part of the “Justice for the 48” group who’re demanding a new inquest be held into the tragedy. Today they brought their campaign to the Council of Europe’s Commissioner for Human Rights. They also spoke to MEPs.
Forty eight young people lost their lives when the fire tore through the Stardust nightclub thirty eight years ago. Antoinette Keegan says she will never forget that terrifying night..
