Ireland’s digital giants face change

Big tech platforms like Facebook and Google will have new responsibilities under a draft law just voted through the European Parliament. MEPs meeting in Strasbourg voted through the Digital Services Act this afternoon. The new law is designed to put the responsibility on the digital giants to tackle disinformation and harmful content. Many of the big firms have their European HQs in Ireland. Fine Gael MEP says it will impact their businesses.
