Brexit talks a step closer to resuming

Brexit negotiations could resume this week after the EU’s chief negotiator offered an olive branch to the UK.

 

Michel Barnier told the European Parliament that a deal is “within reach” if both sides are willing to compromise.

 

Talks stalled after the UK demanded a signal from the EU that it would make concessions.
