People with disabilities should enjoy better access to trains in the future.
That’s according to the Fine Gael MEP Deirdre Clune who sits on the European Parliament’s Transport Committee. MEPs voted this week (Thursday) for higher compensation to be paid to rail passengers who suffer delays.
They also approved the need to provide better assistance to people with reduced mobility, along with better access for cyclists and clearer complaints-handling procedures.
