The Fine Gael MEP Sean Kelly has slammed decisions by EU leaders to reduce or scrap programmes in the EU’s long-term budget.
MEPs in the European Parliament this morning aired very critical views of the European Council’s recent agreement on the seven year budget known as the multi-annual financial framework or MFF.
The Parliament debated the outcome of the recent marathon summit of EU leaders which ended in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The EU Council agreed a seven hundred and fifty billion euro (€750bn) Covid recovery fund. They also reached unanimous agreement on the next MFF which will run from 2021 to 2027.
