It was a busy week for the European Parliament which held its plenary session in Brussels last week (8-10 July 2020).
MEPs debated and voted on numerous issues ranging from better road transport rules to the rights of people with intellectual and physical disabilities. And of course the big headline grabber was the visit of the German Chancellor Angela Merkel to the European Parliament.
Karen Coleman looks back now on some of the main issues that came up during the plenary session.
